NYPL GRAND CENTRAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT

Grand Central Library was honored to offer a series of photography classes as a result of funding from Lifetime Arts. Throughout Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx, adults 50+ are given the opportunity to attend free art courses taught by professionals through this program, Creative Aging.

For the past three months, the students in my class at Grand Central have been learning photography fundamentals but also how to think and speak about their work. The photography exhibit is on display until the end of April 2019. Pay a visit during library hours on the second floor of the library, E 46th Street. Each work tells a unique story from a unique voice.

Just to share a detail about my exploration with the healing arts modalities, I sort of fell in it. My roommate gave me a deck on my birthday, that was around 1999-2000. Fascinated by the symbolism in the cards, coming from a visual arts background, I bought my first book on card interpretation. Over the years, my curiosity to connect with my inner wisdom guided me to take courses in energy healing. There is the Lily Dale spiritual center in WNY and I learned from many teachers when I lived there. The courses helped enhance my intuition. However, I believe in balancing the rational mind with the use of intuition. In other words, I don’t predict the future, I help you create it. I utilize dialogue and healing arts modalities to help you answer pressing questions and find lasting solutions to life questions.

Per the wonderful organizers, Abraham and Farez of the Shamanic Community Gathering group, there will be amazing energy and shamanic healers from many ancestral traditions. Astrologers, palm, intuitive angels and psychic readers will offer 20-minute sessions for $30, 30-minute session for $45, and 40 minutes for $55. Also, there will be many vendors offering healthy drinks, vegan food, native artisan crafts, essential oils, cleaning products, crystals, meditation tools, smudging sticks and much more!
